Unknowingly. Thou Knowest, O Lord, How

LITANY FOR A HAPPY DEATH. 301 frail I am, and that I am nothing but dust and ashes : preserve me from all temptations, and be thou my defence against all the as- saults of the evil spirit, that in this sickness I may no ways offend thee. And if this is to be my last, I beg of thee so to direct me by thy grace, that 1 may not neglect any neces- sary means of salvation, or be deprived of any of those powerful helps, which thou hast in thy mercy ordained for the good of my soul. Oh, prepare me for my passage into eternity, that, being perfectly cleansed from all my iniquities, I may be admitted one day into the kingdom of thy glory, there to love and praise thee for ever, in the company of thy blessed angels and saints. Amen

Where this comes from

This page is part of PRYR’s public-domain library buildout from The Treasury of Prayer. OCR has been cleaned enough for reading, but high-value pages should still be proofed against the scan before app-native use.
