Christ Our Lord. Amen

3y DEVOTIONS FOR EVERY ^ratjur nf Mmasm.

O Lord, Almighty God of our Fathers ! who hast made heaven and earth, with all the ornament thereof, who hast set bounds to the sea by the word of thy commandment, whom all men fear, and before whose power all tremble — for thine angry threatening to- wards sinners cannot be Dome, but thy mer- ciful promise is unsearchable — thou, O Lord ! according to thy great goodness, hast promised forgiveness to mem that have sinned against thee, and of thine infinite mercies hast ap- pointed repentance unto sinners, that they may be saved ! Behold, O Lord ! my trans- gressions are multiplied, and I am not worthy to look up to heaven, fori have provoked thy wrath, and done evil before thee ; I have not done thy will, neither kept thy command- ments. Now, therefore, I bow the knee of mine heart, beseeching thee of grace ; I have sinned, O Lord! and I acknowledge mine iniquity, wherefore I humbly beseech thee to forgive me : be not angry with me for ever, by reserving evil for me, neither condemn me into the lower parts of the earth: for thou art the God of them that repent, and in me thou wilt show all thy goodness ; surely thou wilt save me, though I am unworthy, according to thy great mercy. Therefore I will praise thee for ever, all the days of my life, as all the powers of heaven do praise thee, for thine is the glory for ever and ever. Amen

Where this comes from

This page is part of PRYR’s public-domain library buildout from The Treasury of Prayer. OCR has been cleaned enough for reading, but high-value pages should still be proofed against the scan before app-native use.
