ADVICB OP ST. FRANCIS OP SALES. Attend at Vespers and all the public devotions of the Church as much as possible. It is your duty to do so, that your pood example may lead to the edification of others; and that your aspirations for the glory of God mav be aroused and united with the aspirations of all. The public offices of the Church are ever pre- ferablo to private devotions ; Jesus Christ having pro- mised peculiar favour to those who should be assem- bled in his name. Our Fattier and Hail Mary being said in silence, the Priest sings aloud, V. Deus, in adjutorium meum intende.

R. Domine, ad adiuvandum me festina. Gloria Patri, et Filio, * et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, * et in ssecula saeculorum. Amen
