361. St Anthony's Bread. Thanksgiving

100 Days, once a day. (See Instructions, p. 1.) GLORIOUS worker of miracles, father of the poor, who, wondrously gifted with a heart full of compassion for the miseries of the unfortu- nate, didst by a miracle lay open the heart of a miser steeped in avarice; thou who dost offer our prayers to our Lonp and obtain a hearing, accept as a proof of our gratitude the pence we lay at thy feet for the relief of misfortune. May it turn to the benefit of ourselves and of the suffering; hasten with thy usual kindness to help us in our tem- poral necessities, and still more to provide for our spiritual needs, now and at the hour of our death. Amen

Where this comes from

This page is part of PRYR’s public-domain library buildout from The Raccolta (1878). OCR has been cleaned enough for reading, but high-value pages should still be proofed against the scan before app-native use.
