Vitam Aeternam. Amen. It Effectual to Eternal Life,

grant us thy peace. In Masses for the Dead , he says twice y Give them rest ; and lastly , Give them eternal rest. Standing in an inclined position , with his hands joined and resting on the Altar , and his eyes reverently fixed upon the sacred Host , he says : Domine Jesu Christe, qui Lord Jesus Christ, who dixisti Apostolis tuis, Pacem saidst to thy Apostles, Peace relinquo vobis, pacem meam I leave witn you, my peace do vobis ; ne respicias pec- I give unto you ; regard cata mea, sed fidem Eccle- not my sins, but the faith si® tu® ; eamque secundum of thy Church ; and vouch- voluntatem tuam pacificare safe to it that peace and et coadunare digneris : qui unity which is agreeable to vivis et regnas Deus, per thy will : who livest and omnia ssecula saculorum. reignest God for ever and Amen
