That Thou Remove from Him Thy Wrath;

We beseech Thee to hear tcs, O Lord. That it may please Thee to give him fruitful and saving penitence ; That it may please Thee to give him a humbled and contrite heart ; That it may please Thee to give him a fountain of tears ; That it may please Thee to give him perfect faith, hope, and love ; That Thou wouldest take away from him all murmuring and impatience ; That it may please Thee mercifully to raise him up from the bed of sickness ; A 1 I 6 INTERCESSIONS. That it may please Thee to restore Mm in healtli and safety to Thy holy Church ; That it may please Thee to give him pardon of all sins ; That it may please Thee to give him Thy grace ; That it may please Thee to give him eternal life ; That it may please Thee to bless him with Thy holy right hand ; Son of God ; Lamb of God, That takest away the sins of the world; Have mercy upon us, and upon him, O Lord\ \'2. Prinjcrs for the Dy biff. UNTO Thee, O Lord, we commend the soul of Thy servant -ZV^., that dying to the world, he may live to Thee ; and whatever sins he has com- mitted through the frailty of earthly life, do Thou clear away by Thy most loving and merciful for- giveness ; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
