Make Us,

O Lord, to abhor our own evils with our whole heart ; that at the Coming of Thy Son our Lord, we may be enabled to receive His good things, through the same Jesus Christ our Lord \ MEECIFULLY hear, Lord, the prayers of Thy people ; that as they rejoice in the Ad- vent of Thine only-begotten Son according to the flesh, so when He cometh a second time in His Majesty, they may receive the reward of eternal lite ; through the same Jesus Christ our Lord**. « Gelasian. ADVENT. 19 GEANT, ve beseecli Thee, Almighty God, that the coming solemnity of our redemption may both bestow upon us assistance for this present life, and also enrich us with the bliss of life eternal ; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
