WE beseech Thee, Lord, let the invincible defence of Thy power be the bulwark of Thy faithful people; that they, being ever devoted to Thee with pious affection, may both be freed from the assault of enemies, and continually persevere in Thy grace ; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
